The last month of the year is here and so is the warmth of summer and the sparkle of the coming holidays.

Making December Joyful

December brings an invitation to slow down, savour our moments, and focus on what truly matters. This time of year is perfect for welcoming more joy into our lives - both in big celebrations and in the small, everyday moments.

What is Joyful Living?

It's about inviting lightness, gratitude, and connection into our days. It isn’t just about grand events or perfect moments; it’s about noticing the simple things – a sunny morning, a shared laugh, or a few moments of calm. These little experiences can bring deep joy when we allow ourselves to be present for them.

It's Not as Hard as You Think

Try a simple morning ritual: take a few moments to think about one thing you’re looking forward to that day. It could be a delicious meal, a walk in the fresh air, a few moments to yourself, or something fun you’re planning with loved ones. Keep it simple and see how these small moments add up, becoming the highlights of your December.

Our bodies respond beautifully to joy. When we allow ourselves to welcome more joy, we might notice our energy lifting, our minds feeling clearer, and our bodies feeling lighter. Joy can be one of the most healing emotions for the body!

Reflection

As the year draws to a close, take a moment to reflect on your joyful experiences of the past year. What were three moments that brought you joy? When did you feel most at ease or most connected?

Hold onto these memories and let them be a reminder that finding our joy is possible, even during challenging times.
