Getting out of Comfort
This is me. I'm exhausted, bruised and battered. I'm about to start the last of 5 brutal days of riding, pushing, lifting, and keeping mentally sharp while following a GPS route day and night.
In 2017, my body gave out and I believed I would never exercise again. Forward to 2022 and here I am, miraculously back on a bike in a seriously hard core event.
What's My Point?
My point is - we absolutely have the power to change our circumstances and find healing.
I didn't know whether I would finish the event until I started this last day. In some respects, it didn't matter.
Healing never had a label or a end point. It was simply a journey to a better me. That I was able to take on the Freedom Circuit proved the value of consistent inner work (mind, body & spirit) and outer work (coaching, training, physio).
What I Found
If we're serious about changing our lives, we must look within. I needed to clear emotional baggage, wounds and patterns of behaviour that limited me and kept me stuck.
By opting out of my comfort zone and picking such an audacious physical goal, it pushed me to consistently apply myself to the mechanisms of releasing beliefs and limited thinking.
For the last three years, I've consistently used Bodytalk techniques to find, shift and release stagnant energy and belief systems. This gave me back my passion - grand adventures on a mountain bike.

Going into the event, a wonderful colleague did a BodyTalk performance set-up where she prepped my body and mind for the challenge ahead. And despite how hard it was, mentally I remained focused and positive, and my body kept going.
When I sprained an ankle, she was on call to do an emergency BodyTalk session so that I could cope with the uneven terrain and make it to the finish.
